Slimline Buckle: Bat on Antique Qing Silk

from $98.00

Class Shi buckle shapes showcase the delicious texture of the antique silk from the Qing Dynasty (dated approx. 1850). The antique silks are remnants of wedding dresses, decorative wall tapestries and ceremonial skirts. Each silk from this era is hand dyed and embroidered with a depth of rich, captivating colour.

’Bat’ - the character for bat and happiness are both pronounced “fu”. It is an especially auspicious symbol of joy when depicted in red.

Buckles highlight a carefully chosen cut of silk, framed behind glass. The buckles are interchangeable, as they snap on/off our high quality handmade leather belts. Perfect with jeans!

Belts are sold separately for $45. Choose your favourite leather colour.

Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind as every antique silk is limited in availability.

Prior to creating your unique piece, we will contact you to show you our current selection available for this shape. If you don’t like our current selection of hand embroidered silks, your order can be refunded or we can help you find another piece.

Handmade to order in Victoria BC Canada. Please allow approximately two weeks for completion before shipping.
